| Nov 3, 2016 | Truck Accidents

Truck accident victims are protected through legal resources designed to help them following an accident. A man was recently struck and killed by a tractor trailer in Massachusetts. The 38-year-old victim’s vehicle was disabled on the side of the roadway when he was struck. The breakdown lane and right lane of the highway were closed while authorities investigated the fatal truck accident. Following the accident, the 50-year-old driver of the tractor trailer remained at the scene. The accident is still under investigation but charges have yet to be filed.

Both truck and pedestrian accidents can have catastrophic consequences for victims. Families may endure the unexpected loss of a loved one in a fatal truck accident, while victims may suffer serious and debilitating injuries. Victims and their families may face long recovery and healing times and may suffer physical, financial and emotional trauma and damages associated with a truck accident.

Victims needing help with medical expenses or lost earnings as a result of a truck accident may be able to recover compensation for their damages through a personal injury claim for damages. Likewise, family members needing help following the unexpected loss of a loved one in a truck accident may be able to recover compensation through a wrongful death claim for damages.

Victims of tractor-trailer accidents and surviving family members who have lost a loved one in a truck accident should be familiar with the legal protections available to them. The legal process is available to step in and help them when needed.
