Truck accident claims life near Worcester

A fatal accident just west of Worcester recently claimed the life of a tow truck driver. The 22-year-old tow truck driver was assisting a motorist in the breakdown lane when he was struck by a box truck. According to authorities, the 45-year-old box truck driver was travelling in the right-hand lane when he hit the tow truck driver. According to the owner of the tow truck company, the tow truck driver was loading a disabled vehicle onto his flatbed tow truck when he was struck and killed.

The fatal accident remains under investigation by collision and reconstruction experts, as well as commercial vehicle and crime scene investigation experts. While no charges were immediately filed, the box truck was taken away and impounded by police. A fatal truck accident can cause unexpected trauma and challenges for family members of the victim.
