Wrong way driver injures four in Massachusetts

On Behalf of | Dec 6, 2018 | Car Accidents

Spotting dangerous drivers on the road can be a scary experience for a Worcester resident. They may see an aggressive driver approaching in their rearview mirror, or they may watch a driver swerve in and out of traffic as they attempt to speed down the road. However, one of the most unnerving things that a driver may experience while operating their vehicle is witnessing another vehicle coming toward them as it travels the wrong way.

This is what recently happened in Taunton. An elderly man was driving southbound when he collided with two vehicles. Rather than stopping, the man turned his vehicle on the freeway and continued driving southbound in the northbound lanes of traffic.

Four people were hurt in the two affected vehicles. Two of the victims were young boys, both of whom were taken to a local children’s hospital. All of the victims are expected to recover from their injuries, although the driver whose actions caused this upsetting crash died from his injuries.

Seeking compensation from a deceased party is not always a straightforward process for victims who need financial support to get back on their feet after a car accident. Pursuing such help is not something they have to do alone, however. Victims like those who were harmed in this crash may solicit guidance from legal professionals who work in the personal injury field. With careful case-specific assistance, accident victims can work to secure the resources they need to get back to living their lives and moving forward into the future.
