A recent car accident in a neighboring Massachusetts’ community sent one man to a greater-Boston area hospital with injuries. The injuries the man suffered were reported as possibly serious and required that the victim be transported to the hospital via ambulance. A pickup truck, driven by the victim, and a passenger vehicle were involved in the car collision. Both vehicles were traveling in the left-hand lane when the auto accident occurred.
Car accidents, unfortunately, happen every day. Serious injuries can result from car accidents that have a significant, and damaging, impact on the lives of victims. Because of this, victims can seek relief through a personal injury claim against the negligent driver responsible for causing the accident and the injuries. Drivers can be negligent in a variety of ways and, as a result, face liability to the victim of a car accident for damages.
Victims may be able to recover compensation for damages, including medical expenses, future medical care and costs, lost wages, lost-earning capacity and pain and suffering damages, as well as other types of damages depending on the circumstances of the car accident that caused the injuries and the nature of the injuries and damages suffered. Any driver that does not exercise the appropriate amount of care on the roadway, and injures a victim, may face liability to the victim for damages suffered.
Victims of car accidents may find that following a car accident, unexpected expenses and costs accumulate. A trained personal injury attorney can help a victim of a car accident evaluate the damages suffered and the liability of the negligent driver to determine if a claim for compensation may be helpful to the victim.
